The Webelos Program is more challenging than Tiger, Wolf, and Bear programs for younger Cub Scouts. Webelos Scouts take part in Cub Scout pack meetings and activities as well as more Webelos activities and outdoor fun. Webelos Scouts can earn Webelos Activity Badges and Belt Loops and Pins at any time.

Webelos Scout Requirements

After completing the Bobcat Trail, each Webelos Scout works toward his Webelos Badge. The following achievements are available:

After he has earned his Webelos Badge, the Webelos Scout is encouraged to work toward his Arrow of Light Award by completing the required work in the following areas.

Six months in fifth grade
Boy Scout requirements
Five additional activity badges
Troop visit and outing
Webelos outdoor event
Troop meeting and conference
The Webelos Scout who has earned the Arrow of Light Award has also completed all rquirements for the Boy Scout badge, received after his transition to Boy Scouts.

After earning his Webelos Badge, the Webelos Scout can also earn Compas Points Emblem and Compas Points by completing elective activity badges (4 elective badges per Compas Points Emblem or Compas Point).

The Academics and Sports Program is optionally available to the Webelos Scout.

The Parvuli Dei Religeous Emblem is also available to Catholic Webelos Scouts. Scouts of other religions may find a religious emblem to work toward.
